Description: Largest mountain circus in the Alps, Fer-à-Cheval is made up of 5km of walls reaching up to 700m high and dominated by 3000m peaks. It is in June, when the snowmelt is maximum, that the spectacle is the most spectacular, with about thirty waterfalls that leap along these impressive vertical cliffs included in the Sixt-Fer nature reserve. on horseback. The route to see the circus is shared with the Circuit du Giffre n ° 39 as far as Samoëns then continues back and forth to Plan des Lac (end of the road). It therefore includes the easy crossing of the Col de Châtillon and the crossing of Taninges. After Samoëns, the slope steepens somewhat as we go up the upper valley of Giffre to its source.
