Ascent of Châtillon by the Coast – Hiking

From the Cluses tourist office, go back down along Place Charles de Gaulle, then cross to the left when you arrive towards Mie Câline. Pass in front of the Zanin chocolate factory then continue straight. Cross the railway line, then continue straight on Boulevard du Chevran until the end of the boulevard. Once you arrive at the intersection, take the road which goes up to the right, then 100m further on, take the dirt road which goes up towards the forest. Continue on this path until you reach a first road to cross, then take the path opposite. At the end of the path, you arrive on a second road. Follow it to the left, then take the road on your left, leading to the church of Châtillon. From there, go back to the church, and admire the view of the valley on the lawn area behind the church. The return takes the same route until the end of the dirt road upon arriving at Cluses. Here, turn right and continue on Avenue de Châtillon. Pass the Lidl which will be on your left, then the Val d'Arly cheese factory. Once you arrive at the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road. Before the bend and the railway, take the road which goes down below on the left. Then, take the first street on the right: Rue du Bossey. Continue straight until the intersection with a florist in front of you. Turn right, go back past the Zanin chocolate factory, then turn right onto the Grande Rue to reach the tourist office.
