Sliding down the ramps, jumping in the air, chaining tricks… that's the passion of BMX. Like any good little brother, Thomas followed in the footsteps of his eldest in the skateparks. After several training sessions between siblings, he chained good results with many podiums.

From English “bicycle motocross”

“This sport consists of performing figures with a bicycle: in the air or on the ground, using modules or drawing inspiration from what is around us in the street. There are several styles of BMX practice. In general, these are sequences of figures planned but which always end in improvisation. »

A spectacular sport

“It is an activity that is practiced more particularly in skateparks or in adapted structures. But you can also practice in the street, taking inspiration from street furniture to perform sequences. A skatepark may be enough, but with experience, you always try to go further and change terrain.

In Cluses, for the moment, there is no skatepark, so we practice “street” (in the street). It helps a lot, for example, to project oneself and have a different vision of the street and street furniture. »

Sacred pedal stroke

“In 2020, I had a 2nd place on a “BOWL” event in Marseille. It's a special year and almost all competitions have been cancelled. Otherwise, in 2019, I finished 6th in the “Fise” of Montpellier Street Pro, 5th in the “BMX Cluses Contest” and 3rd in the “Freestyle Cup”. »

More projects for the future

“I had the chance to join the town hall of Cluses to be able to carry out several projects for the town with them. The idea is to develop urban cultures and this kind of activity especially for Clusian youth… and non-Cluniac! Several projects are currently underway and should see the light of day soon!
