Sustainable Development is a nice word. We don't talk about it too much but we take our responsibilities. Who cares about GreenWashing. Here, we engage. We don't shout it from the rooftops but we act, with gestures that matter (well we hope!). We encourage others to do the same, by trying to explain why and how we have to move, in our transport, our accommodation, our food, our activities, our air quality... But without being relous: ok it's is not won!

Local, just that!

Even if we are fully digital, we still print paper documents. Our impressions have been divided by 2 in 5 years and we want to reduce further. The inks used by our local printer are vegetable and the paper comes from sustainably managed forests (this means that the trees are replanted: it is the orangutans who say thank you!)

The local also concerns the men and women with whom we collaborate every day: illustrators, artists, sculptors, producers, farmers, cooperatives, guides… We are lucky to have all these talents close to us: it would be a shame to deprive yourself of it.

Organic is not just for bioman

Bioman was good, organic is better

Come and drink a little coffee or herbal tea: with us you will only find organic. Ditto for soap and cleaning products. Pesticides are not our cup of tea!

Here the waste laughs

It is especially our worms that love our food waste. They feast every day in our vermicompost. We use the soil and the "pee" produced by our friends to plant flowers or to boost our plants.

It's beautiful with us

Our mountains are magnificent. The flora and fauna that they shelter are just as important. The vulture for example, this vulture reintroduced to us not so long ago, is protected.

We love him, we respect him and we say it. So long live the protected areas and species and down with mass tourism. With us we are more in “Letting go”, “Into the Wild” mode and we leave industrial tourism to our neighbors.

Nonchalantly

We are not going to lie to each other, the air quality in the Arve Valley is reputed not to be at the top. And even if we are everyday superheroes, we can't change that with the wave of a magic wand. So we communicate to the general public. You can find on our site air quality index and air purifiers have also been installed in our premises.

The objective is to make the general public aware of local technical solutions that work! The society Pure Air, based in Scionzier, manufactures and supplies these air purifiers to hospitals, schools, nurseries, communities, etc.

They allow you to breathe healthy and pure air. Exit viruses (including COVID 19 in the air!), fine particles, pesticides, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). Clearly, anything that can spin cancer!

The planet is to be celebrated

For our celebrations and events we only use local products. And when this is not possible, we opt for organic. (moreover, our organic pancakes and waffles make more than one salivate!)

We avoid bottled water and our glasses are reusable.

Our secret to avoiding plastic bottles and glasses is to drink local and organic beer from the neck: it is also sold in stores. What wouldn't we do to save the planet!

And lots of other stuff

We could talk about everything we do but we are not here to string pearls: we have a planet to save! We leave you see it all.
