With André, there are always plenty of ideas. Both mountain guide and mountain bike instructor, he can't get bored! Installed in the valley of the Arve, it is a pleasure to make you discover nature differently. Forest bathing, hiking, snowshoeing, staying in a teepee, airboard, fatbike, mountain biking... It adapts easily to your request and that's great!

A job that makes you dream

“I am a mountain guide and mountain bike instructor in the Arve valley. I am originally from the region. My parents lived in Mieussy and then moved to Thyez. Then naturally, I turned to the mountain professions to help people discover these very beautiful environments. You can very well go from a body of water to a summit in a few minutes. That's a diversity, we're talking about an ecosystem and I think it's really very rich. I enjoy contemplating them but also helping people discover them, passing on all my knowledge of these environments. »

A varied audience

“I have the pleasure of working with different clienteles: from young people (schools and leisure centres) to businesses. A panel that is very wide with different demands. What they are looking for now is to reconnect with nature. They are really more attentive, more demanding of this knowledge from nature, from the environment, from these mountain ecosystems. »

A mountain of projects

“In terms of new projects, there are two things that are really close to my heart. There is the aspect of environmental awareness: transmitting the right gestures, a better knowledge of the environment.

And then I develop another aspect as a cycling instructor: I really want to go further in terms of soft mobility. Getting people to make the best use of their bikes: this will of course involve training, but also the setting up of itineraries across the valley. I am talking here about gentle itineraries: the idea is not to make intense efforts either, but to concentrate on discovery. The nature bike motivates me: I will develop this experience soon. »
