Sanskriti: no this word does not come (for once!) From the Savoyard dialect that we like to use in our pages! Sanskriti is a unique place in Haute-Savoie, where yoga, restaurant and guest rooms are brought together, for the happiness and well-being of all. Sit down… .Inhale…. Exhale….

sankriti

It is a word derived from Sanskrit (the Indian "mother tongue") which means culture, which in a deeper sense indicates "refinement", suggesting a way to extract the spiritual essence from life. A life, cultivated in such a way that you can reach your highest potential.

Prachi + Benedict = Sanskriti

If 1 + 1 = 2, for some couples, the sum of the two individuals makes it possible to build beautiful projects together. The Sanskriti Center opened its doors some time ago thanks to the efforts of Prachi and Benoît, both yoga teachers.

The center, located in Scionzier, is installed in place of the old family factory. And for good reason: at Schonvy, we used to talk more about bar turning than yoga! And yet, arriving on the outskirts of Sanskriti, it fits perfectly into its environment and it has become natural to come there for a good meal or a yoga session. Nice transition!

Welcome to Yoga-land!

From the doorstep, it is the zen and warm atmosphere that envelops you and will never let you go until the end of your session.

We are first asked to leave our shoes (and our worries!) At the entrance and then to join the room which will host our craziest postures!

What you notice from the first session is the kindness shown by Prachi and Benoît, even when you try yoga for the first time and the movements and breathing are not yet natural.

Classes are adapted to everyone, to the time of year and to individual needs: at their own pace, you quickly find the right balance between relaxation and well-being.

After the effort, the yogi is very "hungry"!

Word of a yogi: do not leave empty stomach! Restaurant " The Hungry Yogi“, Also present in the same building, has something to satisfy you in the most beautiful way: homemade products, respectful of our environment and 100% vegetarian cuisine.

More than a restaurant, Prachi and Benoît will then be keen to tell you about their dishes, their design, their history, their origin… the word “sharing” takes on its full meaning in this unique place.

The +: the furniture comes directly from India, where Prachi originates. We then like to sit cross-legged, at the table, to taste the good dishes of the day.
