October 12, 2024: a date etched in the memory of Marine Bugada, who won her first title as world champion of Savate Boxe Française in Slovenia
My name is Marine Bugada, I am a sports coach at Octoplus coaching and self-employed.
MORE THAN A SPORT, A PASSION
I started savate when I was 16, after ten years of karate. My father was leading the children's class, so I decided to give it a try. I immediately loved it, adopted it and have never stopped since! When I get in the ring, I feel strong, because I feel like I can accomplish so much, to express my full potential without any limits.
A DREAM COME TRUE
I thought, 'WOW.' That's really what it was in my head: 'WOW'!
It was an incredible experience, the culmination of a lot of work and sacrifice.
CLUSES: Between mountains and boxing hall
I like to do all my physical preparation in the mountains, through hiking and trail running. I am also lucky enough to be able to train in Cluses, in a completely renovated gym. It is a privilege to have both this natural environment and quality infrastructure.
