Of Alsatian origin, Léa and Corentin, both passionate about cooking since they were young, took over management of the restaurant Le Petit Fourneau, in Mont-Saxonnex, last year.

Corentin: My name is Stoll Corentin, I am from Strasbourg. I did a professional cooking baccalaureate, then a BTS in hotel and catering management. I arrived in the region 4 years ago.

Léa: My name is Léa, I am 23 years old, I am also from Alsace. Like Corentin, I did a professional cooking baccalaureate, then a BTS in hotel and restaurant management and finally, I continued with a degree at the Thonon-les-Bains hotel school. I have been in the Le Petit Fourneau restaurant for a year and a half as a cook.

Cooks since childhood

Léa: For me, cooking has always been a passion. Since I was very young, I loved preparing meals for my family and friends: it was always a pleasure!

Corentin: It's the same for me, I've always loved cooking with my mother, my family and my friends.

Local specialties

Corentin: Fondue and traditional mountain raclette are our specialties. And we make sure to do everything at home, as much as possible.

Léa: What we want to convey to the customer through cooking is above all simplicity with fresh products: these are “simple” products with which we can make great dishes. And we want to keep a friendly atmosphere, always with a smile.

Besides, what I like most about my job is making customers happy. I want the customer to come and have an experience eating something simple, good and traditional, in a warm and friendly place, and to leave with a smile.

A restaurant in the mountains

Léa: We chose Mont-Saxonnex because it is a small village where everyone knows each other, with local shops: butcher, bakery, etc. It's not just a ski resort, it's a lively and friendly little village where there is life, and that's what we love.

We were very well integrated into the village: the inhabitants are kind and caring.

I'M HUNGRY !
