Fancy a cycling trip between Geneva and Chamonix? Say goodbye to cars and motorcycles, get on your bike! This cycle route is largely protected, far from traffic and pollution. While some sections are gravel, and a few links use departmental roads, the vast majority of the route offers pleasant surfaces, along the Arve River, surrounded by nature. Suitable for cycling with family, in groups, or solo, the cycle route is both fun and comfortable: the route presents no major difficulties. So, don't hesitate, let's go! Everyone in the saddle!

CLUSES <> Bonneville ROUTE

DEPARTURE CLUSES
From the Tourist Office, pick up the section of the greenway on the left. Follow the Arve River to Thyez. Cross the "Nant du Dard" canal footbridge and immediately turn right onto Chemin du Canal. At the end of the path, turn left onto Rue du Carillon and pick up the greenway, which continues along the railway line. In Marignier, cross the railway line on the right, then turn left towards Bonneville for 3 km. At the Chez Millet industrial park, pick up the greenway on the right. The route follows the railway line again for 5 km. Continue along the Arve River in Bonneville.


DEPARTURE BONNEVILLE
From Bonneville station, the route follows the railway for 5 km. It first crosses the Arve plain and its pastures with views of the Ayze vineyard. At the Chez Millet industrial park, the route continues for 3 km on shared track to the center of Marignier. At the center intersection, at the traffic lights, turn right, cross the level crossing, and take the greenway immediately on the left, along the railway. It will take you to the "Nant du Dard" canal, which it runs alongside and crosses to reach the Roman bridge of Cluses along the Arve.

DEPARTURE CLUSES
At the Roman bridge, located in front of the Tourist Office, join Rue Jumel, heading towards Sallanches. Then turn right onto the dike path to go under the motorway and follow the Arve, cross it and join the Chamonix path. After Magland, cross the Arve at the Crétet bridge and, on the left, the Arve promenade. Before the motorway, turn right and follow the motorway, then under the railway and the D1205 to reach Oëx (Magland). A small road will take you to Luzier (Sallanches). At the old bridge, you can go under the motorway to enter Sallanches and continue the route towards Passy – Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, or cross the old bridge and continue
the route to Les Houches via the village of Passy.

DEPARTURE FROM SALLANCHES
Go to the start of the greenway at the Pont de Saint-Martin. Cross Sallanches along the Arve River. After the motorway junction, take the Oëx road via Luzier. After Oëx, go under the departmental road, then the railway line. At the entrance to Magland, turn left, follow the Arve River, then left again to cross to the other side of the river. Continue on this road (Chamonix-Mottet road) to Lake Magland, next to Super U, then follow the greenway to Cluses.

SALLANCHES <> PASSY ROUTE

DEPARTURE FROM SALLANCHES

At the Saint-Martin bridge, go under the highway to join the greenway on the other side of the road. Head towards the hospital and the nautical center, then continue straight to the Passy lake leisure center. Follow the railway line until you have to cross the departmental road, called “Route de Passy.” Be careful, crossing the road, heavy traffic. At the stop sign, take “Chemin de la Pallud” straight ahead. Cross “Route du Fayet” to join a path parallel to it (Route de Perret). At the train station, take the dead end on the right to cross the “Bon Nant” on the footbridge. After this, the cycle path takes you to the Chedde paragliding landing area. Turn left onto “Route des Soudans,” then climb for 700m to discover the beautiful Cascade du Coeur.
