A successful conversion!

“My name is Kari and I am a ceramist by trade. At the Kari ceramik workshop, I turn, I decorate and I enamel a whole bunch of small stoneware objects. I haven't always worked in this field, I come from hotel management. I was part of a Swiss ceramic workshop for several years. Then I joined the International Center for Ceramics in Saint-Amand for a full year. Internships in the Loire, the Netherlands and England, a CAP later and I created my workshop! »

Continuing the tradition

“I have been living here for about ten years, it is a village on a human scale where we know each other, where we greet each other, where we help each other. And then there is a beautiful tradition of making pottery in the area. It was convinced by my husband that I left Valais for Mont-Saxonnex. The kindness of the neighborhood and the local associative world has finished convincing me! »

Shape and bring to life

“I've always been passionate about beautiful objects, about creative processes. I like both Savoyard terracotta and Japanese stoneware! Seeing an object "born" in your hands is still magical, isn't it? »

The freedom to create

"The profession of ceramist encompasses knowledge of all the techniques of working the earth, I love making pieces on my potter's wheel, of course, but I also create creations with other techniques, in complete freedom, at thanks to my inspirations! »

thank you mother nature

“I particularly like to be inspired by nature and here, in Mont-Saxonnex, it is on our doorstep. »
