“I did a lot of sport when I was younger, karate, judo, dance, football, but it was the sport with which I had the most connection. Wrestling is a very complete sport that requires intelligence, strength, endurance, flexibility and many qualities.”
His first steps at high level
“I have been French champion several times, Junior European Vice-champion in 2016, 3rd at the European Championship (under 23) in 2018 in Bulgaria, 3rd at the Mediterranean Games in 2018 in Spain.
My best memory is when I became French champion for the first time, I was very young and very proud because it was the beginning of the high level for me.”
Faster, higher, stronger
“There is no real secret to becoming a champion, as in everything, it takes a lot of work, to be patient, to persevere and to have your feet on the ground, never forgetting where you come from. When I got on the podium, I was very moved and very proud of all the work put in, satisfied with the result but with the desire to reach even higher!”
On the road to the Olympic Games
“Next for me are the Olympic qualifying tournaments, one in March which I unfortunately cannot participate in due to an injury, and one in May which will be my one and only chance to attempt Olympic qualification, to participate in the Olympic Games which are taking place this summer in Tokyo.”
And the studies in all this ?!
“I obtained a BTS in assistant manager in 2018, I then put aside my studies to focus on the Olympic Games. I would then like to continue in human resources or administration.”
