At the Col de Romme. Come on, let's get in the wheel and we follow the rhythm! As we say at home, this pass, from the start, he "sends the wood". It is not for nothing that the Tour peloton climbs it very regularly. So if you feel the legs of a Julian Alaphilippe or Thibaut Pine, this collar is made for you!

As a dancer!

This climb has an average gradient of 8,7%, over 8,3 kilometers of ascent. This starts from Cluses, by one tterrible ramp which rises vertically: 2,2 km at… 11% average! The road is spectacular, it clings with the help of a single hairpin bend to the wall of the Rochers de Huant.

Then the slope calms down a bit in the hamlet of Cruz but you have to climb 2 switchbacks over 1650 m at 8-9%. Pain in my legs ? Enjoy a good little saving flatter over 1 km at 6% to the village of Nancy-sur-Cluses.

When is it that we arrive?

The collar is unfortunately not at Nancy sur Cluses : the slope relentlessly straightens to 10%.

At each switch, the same punishment: "it continues to climb nasty". So yes, we stick our tongue out, we suffer martyrdom but to the sweet sound of the clarines and with a magnificent view, please!

Romme and its pass then appear at the end of a straight road: it is not a mirage, you have the right end!

Victory is to be celebrated

At the top, Romme welcomes you. Set foot on land in this typical hamlet, at an altitude of 1297 meters, its highest point, next to the chapel.

Well done, you did it! You deserved a little cold beer at La Rebloche !
