Originally from Les Carroz, François Coz settled in the heart of La Sardagne to develop his project: launching his own brewery which he chose to call “Orange Duck”.

My name is François Coz, I am from Les Carroz, and it was there, at home, that I started brewing my first beers. It was this passion that pushed me to develop my project on a larger scale by creating my brewery.

A SENTIMENTAL NAME

“Orange Duck” has two meanings. The first comes from my neighborhood in Les Carroz: Le Pernand. A little anecdote, the inhabitants were nicknamed the “barbottis” because one of the first inhabitants raised ducks. But Orange Duck is also the name of a song by a famous music group, who gave me permission to use this name for my beers.

HOMEMADE BEERS

Today, we offer six beers: three classics (a blonde, a white and an amber) and three signature beers. These are American beers, brewed with American hops and French malt, which gives them a unique and tasty taste.

A REAL FRIENDLY PLACE

When I created this brewery, my ambition was to offer an afterwork bar, a place where you can meet up with friends or colleagues after work to share a good time. We offer a wide range of products, from wines to soft drinks, including charcuterie boards. Everything is there for a friendly moment! We also organize events throughout the year, such as concerts or darts evenings.

A NEW START IN CLUSES

I couldn't set up in Les Carroz because I needed a larger space for the vats and fermenters. When I learned that the premises of the former Hôtel du Bargy were available for rent, I immediately saw the opportunity to develop a nice place there, right in the heart of the La Sardagne district.
