For over 30 years, Fabrice Géroudet, the last dairy farmer in the commune of Cluses, has been running the family farm passed down by his parents. With his 100 cows, he supplies the milk used to make dairy reblochon at the Fruit Cooperative in Val d'Arly.

My name is Fabrice Géroudet, I am 54 years old and I am the last dairy farmer in the commune of Cluses.

FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

I've been established for about thirty years: I took over the family farm from my parents. Today, I have about fifty heifers and dairy cows and my milk is used to make dairy reblochon at the Fruit Cooperative in Val d'Arly. We've always been immersed in it, so the question never arose: it was obvious!

EVERY DAY HAS ITS SURPRISE

In this profession, every day is different. One day, a problem... and inevitably, a solution to find. Between the unexpected, the mechanical issues, the hazards of everyday life, it's a constant source of surprises.

A SHARED PASSION

All my friends are farmers, we share the same passion. When we work, we all work at the same time, and when we're more relaxed, it's the same: it allows us to get together and enjoy good times together.

HERE, AT HOME

Breeding in Cluses is also a family affair: my parents were born here, and they themselves took over my grandparents' farm. I was born here too, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
