Guided and commented tour of a goat farm located at the Alpage de Sommier d'Aval. The herd is made up of 100 chamois alpine goats, 45 goats, 6 billy goats, and two donkeys.
La ferme des Cabrettes offers 2 sites:
1) At the Reposoir: the Alpage de Sommier d’Aval (from 08/06 to 15/09):
– Free guided and commented tour, Mondays and Thursdays from 15 p.m., goat milking at 17:15 p.m.
Reservation at the Intercommunal Tourist Office: Le Reposoir (04 50 98 18 01), the day before at the latest.
– Sale of cheeses at the chalet every day.
2) In Sallanches (from 01/11 to 20/05):
– Guided and commented tour, free, Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Reservation strongly desired
– Sale of cheeses (Chevrotins AOP silver medalist at the CGA Paris 2015, goat cheese tommes and serac)
every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 16 p.m. to 30 p.m., except Sunday morning.
No age limit
Mandatory reservation.
