Discovery and educational farm: guided and commented tour of the goat farm, and the production of chevrotin (monitoring the transformation of milk into cheese). Production and sale of Chevrotin (AOP), Tomme de goat’s cheese and Sérac.
La ferme des Cabrettes offers 2 sites:
1) At the Reposoir: the Alpage de Sommier d’Aval (from 15/05 to 15/09):
– Free guided and commented tour, Mondays and Thursdays from 15 p.m., goat milking at 17:15 p.m.
– Sale of cheeses at the chalet every day.
2) In Sallanches (from 01/11 to 15/05):
– Guided and commented tour, free, Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
– Sale of cheeses (Chevrotins AOP silver medalist at the CGA Paris 2015, goat cheese tommes and serac)
every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 16 p.m. to 30 p.m., except Sunday morning.
From the La Lanche car park, take the path that leads into the forest. There are many climbs ahead. Closed-toe mountain shoes are strongly recommended. Continue straight ahead, following the "Ferme des Cabrettes" signs.
