This walk allows walkers of all levels to access an impressive panorama. The Pointe de l'Arbaron stands between the resorts of Les Carroz and Flaine and is accessible by a pleasant path between forest and clearings.

Departing from the Hameau des Gérats and its impressive contemporary chapel, short walk without difficulty, walking between pines and clearings to a superb belvedere.

At 1953 meters above sea level, the Pointe de l'Arbaron reveals the entire Arve Valley on one side, and on the other the Montagne de Véran with its several peaks: La Croix de Fer, l'Aiguille d' Aujon and Aup de Véran.

A small artistic curiosity, you can also observe the Refuge Tonneau, the work of the French architect and designer Charlotte Perriand

Topo / step by step

Departure: hamlet of Gérats1/ From the Hameau des Gérats car park, take the path on the left towards Les Gérats. Arrived at the place called "Les Gérats", follow the direction of Arbaron by the path going up on the right. 2/ Arrived at Arbaron, continue on the path towards Col de Pierre Carrée, passing through Barme Rostà. 3/ At the Col de Pierre Carrée welcome sign, cross the road then follow the road. Follow this gravel path to Bassin de la Pallud. 4/ At the Bassin de la Pallud, join the road to Flaine. Continue to the roundabout then take the first exit onto the road to Hameau des Gérats. Continue straight to reach your starting point.
