Description

Walk to discover life in the forest and a hamlet like that of Romme. With a departure from the center of the village, this hike is accessible both in summer and in winter. Snowshoes are therefore recommended during snowy periods.

From the restaurant, continue on the road for 100 m and be careful to take the path on the left towards “Tour de la tête de Romme”. Before the forest, follow the direction to your right “Tour de la tête de Romme par Charvet”. Then follow the direction “Tour de la tête de Romme”. The main difficulty of this loop will be the steep descent over 300 m. After this descent, turn left, the path indicated “Tour de Romme par les straps”; it takes you back to the hamlet. Variation: Take the sustained climb for 150 m, on the left, at the start of the descent. You will arrive at the top of the Tete de Romme (1463 m). Continue straight ahead to retrace your steps. Route to avoid in bad weather – rocky ridge

Bring hiking poles and waterproof mountain boots to make the most of your hike.
