Description

This hike in the woods is ideal in summer. You can admire a beautiful view of the valley from the church of Châtillon.

Step by step guide:
1/ From the Cluses tourist office, go back down along Place Charles de Gaulle, then cross to the left when you arrive towards Mie Câline.
2/ Pass in front of the Zanin chocolate shop and continue straight ahead. Cross the railway line, then continue straight ahead on Boulevard du Chevran until the end of the boulevard.
3/ Once you arrive at the intersection, take the road that goes up to the right, then 100m further on, take the dirt path that goes up towards the forest.
4/ Continue along this path until you reach a first road to cross, then take the path opposite.
5/ At the end of the path, you will come to a second road. Follow it to the left, then take the road on your left, leading to the church of Châtillon.
6/ From there, go to the church, and admire the view of the valley from the lawn area behind the church.
7/ The return journey follows the same route until the end of the dirt road when arriving in Cluses.
8/ Here, turn right and continue on Avenue de Châtillon. Pass the Lidl which will be on your left, then the Val d'Arly cheese shop.
9/ Once you reach the traffic lights, turn left and follow the road. Before the bend and the railway, take the road that descends below on the left.
10/ Then, take the first street on the right: Rue du Bossey. Continue straight ahead until you reach the intersection with a florist in front of you.
11/ Turn right, pass by the Zanin chocolate shop again, then turn right onto Grande Rue to reach the tourist office.
