Once upon a time…
“Emile Allamand, Clusien by birth and founder of the Savoy International Group.
Savoy International was created in 1982. The company is an automotive supplier and achieves a turnover of 155 M €.
In March 2020, the company took a strategic turn by launching a production of masks in France to respond to the health emergency.
Imagining and producing are intrinsically very exciting aspects of my job. However, the most enriching thing is certainly the meetings made over the years. It’s exciting to see how much we learn from others through encounters.”
Adaptation as a leitmotif
“We always try to anticipate economic developments, however this is almost impossible. This is why it is essential to remain agile in order to adapt to different economic changes.
For the environment, this is an aspect that is particularly close to our hearts. Being from the Arve valley myself, I believe that it is the duty of business leaders to preserve our environment as much as possible. This translates into concrete actions, so we have set up filtration systems on our production sites so as not to release pollutants into the atmosphere; we are thinking about solutions to develop soft mobility.”
Industry 4.0 .. digital technology at the service of people
“Industry 4.0 is about making industry more intelligent and connected. Thanks to data, we are able to optimize production, improve the efficiency of our factories and improve the working conditions of our employees.”
Connected within the company, but also connected with the outside!
“Clusien by birth and having founded the company, it is naturally linked and connected to the territory. Also, the company has developed in this territory and now has more than 500 employees in the Arve valley. The Cluses Arve & Montagne territory is an almost unique ecosystem, very conducive to business development. This is a territory of entrepreneurs.
We believe that it is our duty to imagine the modes of transport of tomorrow, the big cities have been equipped by modes of soft mobility. However, this is more complicated for smaller cities with lower population densities.
Our objective is to provide a solution to these cities by offering a soft mobility offer for cities with less than 100 inhabitants. The territory of the Arve valley lends itself perfectly to our initiative.”
