“From the age of 10, I accompanied my father to the farm and milking. I'm passionate, you could say it's in my blood. I do this job because at home, we are close to animals and nature. I love this job, I am a local woman.”
A profession in DNA
“We are the only year-round operators in the town of Nancy. This profession has been passed down from my great-grandparents. Currently, it is my father who operates the farm. We have 80 cows, most of which are 36 dairy cows, a few Montbéliardes and two tarines for fun. The milk is transported to the Flumet cooperative.”
Female entrepreneurship
“I am at Poisy high school and I am taking my agricultural baccalaureate this year. I plan to pursue a BTS in agricultural business management and training for manufacturing. My goal is to do a few years of paid employment. Then I really hope to take over the farm after my father: it's important to me. Much more than a family business, it's a family passion!
And if I follow in my father's footsteps, I would also like to add my personal touch: I would like to diversify the farm and promote the milk on the farm by making my own cheese.
