Elif Bulut, mother of two daughters and co-manager of Kleï Café Céramique in Cluses. Inspired by her time in London and her family life, she imagined a welcoming space, designed for both parents and children. Deeply attached to her hometown, it was natural for her to open her café in Cluses.

My name is Elif, I am thirty years old, I am the mother of two daughters and co-manager of Kleï Café Céramique.

LONDON: A journey, a meeting

After graduating from high school, I went to London to learn English. It was there that I met my husband, who was already working in the restaurant industry, which allowed me to quickly dive into this world. London is a multicultural city, where you can find all kinds of cuisines. This inevitably influenced our choices, especially when it came to Lebanese cuisine.

Each to their own playing field

Everyone has their own specialty: for me, it's design. I imagined and created the place, and my husband has always supported me in my choices; I simply asked his opinion. In the kitchen, he's the chef! He's really talented, so I give him carte blanche, even if I like to offer my little criticism to adjust certain dishes. That's the strength of our duo!

Charles Savouret

A place designed with a mother's eyes

The birth of our children naturally influenced my desire to create Kleï Café Céramique, with the idea of a space for parents and children to share. I don't think I would have had this thought process if I hadn't become a mother.

Cluses: an obvious choice

Cluses is my town; it's where I was born, grew up, and went to school. I'm very attached to it, and I couldn't see myself opening this place anywhere else.
