Dominique Serasset, President of the Cluses Scouts International Association, tells us about the history and values of this association founded in 1995. With several hundred volunteers involved, the team organizes weekly charity sales, the profits of which support humanitarian actions around the world.

I am Dominique Serasset, President of the International Scouts of Cluses.

A movement guided by the values of scouting

International Mutual Aid was founded in 1995 by our founder, Pierre Devant, to help the most disadvantaged people in all countries of the world. The three values of Scouting are: honesty, dedication, and purity.

The collective energy of the association

Today, the association has a large pool of volunteers: between 400 and 500 in total, including around thirty present each week on our sites to prepare the solidarity sales which take place every Saturday afternoon as well as the four Sundays in October.

Solidarity sales, an unmissable event

Historically, these were called large flea markets. Today, for safety reasons, we have had to reduce their size and we now call them solidarity salesFor those who don't know, the concept is simple: come and search and find the object that might interest you, in all areas: toys, household appliances, furniture, clothing, etc.

If we organize these sales, it is above all to promote something: all the humanitarian actions that we carry out.

Once a Scout, always a Scout
