Engravings, friends, and rock 'n' roll! That's how we could sum up this portrait. While his illustrious namesake has made a name for himself in the world of lacemaking, our mountain Christian has found his niche in industry and music…with great success! The Musiques en Stock festival has become THE benchmark for free festivals in the region…and its high-quality, "Lacroix-made" programming certainly plays a big part in that.

In 2 words...

Christian Lacroix, I live in Thyez, originally from Scionzier. A small life in the industry, in music, in many things.

Living on music and friendship

At the beginning, we created an association called Macadam, in 1977, there were a dozen of us in the association, we organized concerts, we toured local and Parisian groups.

Musiques en Stock is a great adventure that started with friends, people interested in music and comics. Our role in the festival as a Macadam association is to ensure a program of confirmed and internationally discovered groups. In a few days, the festival will start with a pop rock connotation with 12 groups in 3 days. Everything will take place in Scionzier, on the new square, in front of the Alpex house.

The mountain as a legacy…

I inherited a small bar-turning company and we made it evolve by setting up a second company called KCL, which does engraving on wood, on plastic, mainly in communication.

I could have gone to work in Switzerland or for turners in Paris, but I was born in the mountains and then the mountains, I like to see them when I get up in the morning. I find that we live in a privileged place and I really appreciate this environment, all day long.
