Are you looking for a place to come and have a drink with colleagues after work? Bivouac Malte is made for you. Do you want a good burger but not those made in famous fas-food chains? Bivouac Malte is made for you. Finally, are you looking for good beers to give as a gift to your son-in-law or daughter-in-law (and yes, it's not just for men!)? Bivouac Malte is made for you. You see, there are plenty of reasons to visit this place. And we haven't yet told you about the kindness and hospitality of Anne-Sophie and Bertrand, who run this business. So we let them introduce themselves!
A business that works
“We are Bertrand and Anne-Sophie, the two managers of Bivouac Malté. We opened Oscar la Montagne about 6 years ago and we decided to open Bivouac Malté a year and a half ago, still in Marnaz. We wanted to stay in the same city, the same universe. We already had our other restaurant which was in Marnaz, we opened our first food truck and in the end we were in Marnaz.”
The call of the sea…. then from the Arve!
“For a while we really wanted to leave, we visited places, then we came back to Chamonix, we saw lots of things. In the end, everything meant that we kept coming back to the same place, to this room, which meant that we really decided, after a while, to put our things down here. This allowed us to really be able to expand.
So we really decided to stay in the Arve valley, it was still our core business, it was there where we had already been present for 6 years so we had all our customers, we were able to find all the world and then treat everyone once again.”

Quality morning, noon and night!
“Also good to come and drink a coffee in the morning, have something to eat at lunchtime or come and end your day with a little aperitif board or a good, cold beer made with love. A place which brings together a beer cellar, a restaurant and a beer bar, highlighting local brewers, national brewers and a little bit of European brewery.
We really spend a lot of time looking for our suppliers so that we can bring quality things, especially things of great freshness, and establish a real bond with the different suppliers. For us, that's what's really important, is to know a little about how the people we surround ourselves with work, to then explain to our customers, in the best possible way, the products that we resells to us.”
