As a heritage guide and history teacher, Anne-France takes pleasure in taking us on a journey through time. For more than 25 years, she has made history her vocation.

History buff

“Through various trips, motivated by my curiosity, I was able to discover the richness and diversity of the heritage of the places visited. This is how I became aware of its impact on a territory.

After several years of studying history in Lyon, I am now a history and geography teacher. Outside of my teaching hours, I love sharing my passion as a tour guide.

“I learned about the Association of Heritage Guides of the Savoie Region, founded in 1985 in Albertville-Conflans. For a year, I followed the training they provided, in order to discover and promote the heritage of Le Reposoir, an exceptional site deeply marked by the presence of the Carthusian monks since the Middle Ages. Following an exam, I successfully obtained the diploma of Heritage Guide of the Savoie Region, now a Heritage Guide of Savoie Mont-Blanc.”

The art of transmission

"A thorough understanding of the subject matter, teaching methods adapted to different groups, the guide's passion and open-mindedness, innovation and creativity, and communication with the public are all elements that encourage visitor participation and interest, as well as their sense of ownership of the place visited."
