Aline Favre runs the family business, Le Pêchacout, in Cluses, which she took over in 2019 after an initial career in banking. Deeply attached to this business, passed down through generations, she continues its rich family history, surrounded by her loved ones. Passionate about customer relations and connecting with nature, she serves a diverse clientele, from fishing enthusiasts to outdoor lovers, in the Haute-Savoie region, which is particularly well-suited to these activities.
My name is Aline Favre, I am 45 years old, married, and a mother of three. I am the proud owner of the fishing, hunting, and cutlery shop. The Pêchacout, located in Cluses.
A family transmission
Before taking over the store in 2019, I worked for 17 years at Banque Populaire des Alpes as a customer advisor.

When my mother retired, I decided to retrain and take over the family business. I obtained a professional qualification certificate in firearms and ammunition so I could practice this trade legally. This business is deeply rooted in our family history, and taking it over was an opportunity I seized as soon as it arose.
A childhood at the heart of the store
I spent my entire childhood in the shop, alongside my older sister. In the back room, we had a small space where we did our homework after school, while also playing and helping our mother. From a very young age, we were interested in the world of retail, and as we grew up, we started serving customers.
A family business first and foremost
Le Pêchacout is a true family business. Created 52 years ago by my mother, it has now been in my hands for 7 years.

The team consists of two employees: my mother and my older sister, who help me every day. My husband, Sébastien, takes care of the displays, maintenance, and after-sales service. And let's not forget our children, who also help out with small tasks.
We are all involved: everyone pitches in and we know we can count on each other.
Passion for the profession and customer relations
What I find most exciting about my job is the relationship with clients, an aspect I have always enjoyed.
Our clientele is diverse: fishermen, hunters, hikers, and mushroom pickers of all ages. We're also seeing a growing enthusiasm for fishing among younger people. They do their research, watch videos, follow YouTubers, and are always on the lookout for the latest trends.
Fishing, an evolving practice
Although fishing is still often perceived as a male-dominated field, the French Fishing Federation notes an increase in sales of "Discovery Women" cards every year.
More and more people feel the need to reconnect with nature, to find calm and serenity. Being by the water, whether you are a man or a woman, provides a true sense of well-being.
A rich territory for enthusiasts

A rich territory for enthusiasts
Haute-Savoie is a particularly rich and interesting region for all types of anglers. Between rivers, lowland lakes, and mountain lakes, the possibilities are very diverse. You can fish for both pike and predatory fish.
Among my favorite spots, I would mention the Arve, a very beautiful river ideal at the beginning of the season, as well as the Giffre, which has offered for some years a "no kill" course, where the fish are released after their capture.
