Alice Laverty is a passionate painter who has lived in Haute-Savoie for several years. Between her works inspired by the human body and her commitment to young people, she shares a sensitive and profound view of art and freedom of expression.

My name is Alice Laverty, I am a painter. I left Paris to settle in this beautiful region of Haute-Savoie a few years ago. Today, I am very involved with the Cartooning for Peace association as well as in workshops for young people to raise awareness about freedom of expression.

MORE THAN JUST A CHOICE

As with any artist, it is a necessity. If I did not paint, I would be “dead.” Or, as Niki de Saint Phalle said: “I would be pregnant all the time.” This means that it is not a choice, but a vital need to paint, to create.

BEAUTY UNSTRAINED

I paint naked bodies because that's what fascinates me and what I find most beautiful. A body can express a lot of emotions. What interests me is to remove all accessories - neither decor nor clothes - to focus the gaze on the raw emotion that a body can transmit.

A CITY OF HEART

You don't arrive at Mont-Saxonnex by chance, you have to earn it. It's a little paradise that I discovered eight years ago, out of love. When I came to see my partner at the time, I fell in love not only with him, but also with the village where he lived, Mont-Saxonnex.

When I arrived in Haute-Savoie, and particularly in Mont-Saxonnex, I was lucky to be supported by the region: Cluses, the Cluses Tourist Office and Mont-Saxonnex have always welcomed my artistic proposals. This is important to me, because I really want there to be more art in the mountains.

THE PRESS IS TALKING ABOUT IT!
