To drive on Swiss motorways, the motorway sticker is mandatory: it replaces tolls. But rest assured, once paid, you can use Swiss motorways all year round.
Where can I buy the Swiss vignette?
You can purchase the physical sticker directly at the reception desk of theCluses Tourist Office (21 Grande Rue). You can also buy it in the tourist offices of Le Reposoir and Mont-Saxonnex. This is the ideal solution to avoid queues at customs, especially on busy travel weekends.
What is the price of the vignette in 2026?
The price is €44,50. We accept payments by credit card, cash, check and holiday vouchers.
How long is the sticker valid for?
La Swiss vignette is valid from December 1st of the previous year to January 31st of the following year. Example: The 2026 sticker is valid from December 1, 2025 to January 31, 2027 (i.e., 14 months).
Is there a digital version (E-Vignette)?
Yes, the electronic vignette is now available. It is attached to the vehicle's license plate, not the windshield. You can buy it online, but if you prefer the classic sticker format, it is still available at our offices.
Is it mandatory for all vehicles?
The vignette is mandatory for all motor vehicles and trailers (including caravans) up to 3,5 tonnes that use the Swiss motorways and semi-motorwaysIf you are towing a trailer, you will therefore need two thumbnails.
Where should the physical sticker be affixed?
To be valid, it must be glued directly onto the inner face of the windshield (on the left or behind the central rearview mirror). Warning: the use of adhesive tape or any other non-permanent means of fixing is punishable by a fine.
